BreatheRight Migration Solved, a MeteorCrusher Update, and President's Day weekend

After the flurry of comments concerning the BreatheRight migration that I described in my most recent entry, I decided to notice where the BreatheRight migrated this week. For the previous four nights or so, the BreatheRight has stayed right it was supposed to. At no time did I observe that it come within the orbit of a cat, my arm, my socks or parts unknown in the apartment. When I woke up the next morning, it was still there. Amazing, isn't it? For those of you contemplating the utility of the BreatheRight, I urge you to buy a box and give it a try. And no, I'm not urging you because THEY are paying me to do so. No sir-e-bob, I don't roll like that.

In other news, I defeated MeteorCrusher on my BlackBerry with a spirited round that left my thumb sore. I finished level 63 with 98,498 points and a profound sense of accomplishment. I proudly sent my score off to MeteorCrusher HQ only to find out I was ranked #4,270 out of an unspecified pool of losers users. I then noticed that my MeteorCrusher was set to EASY mode. "EASY?!?," I scoffed to myself. "I blogged about it, how could it be EASY?"

So...I set the difficultly level to Medium to see who well I could do. So far, I'm up to Level 10 and 10,270 points. But it has only begun.

For President's Day weekend, we drove up to Prescott, AZ for the day. I had taken Monday off of work and Joy gets off President's Day because she works for a financial institution. It was in the 70s - 80s in Phoenix on Sunday so we decided to head for the cooler climate in Prescott and check out the art galleries and shopping in Downtown. It was a good drive up there and the Thunderchicken handled it with aplomb. We checked out this art gallery that specialized in photography and giclee printing. Giclee is snobbishly pronounced as "zee-clay" and you must turn up your nose (sans BreatheRight) when saying it. Giclee is fancy French word meaning "ink-jet printing." We were reassured by the gallery owner that this isn't your father's Canon BubbleJet. And the landscape photographs printed on canvas were rendered extremely vividly. There were some really nice pieces and some excessively high prices. Joy and I both decided that we would really like one of them but we'd have to wait until we got a house so we could find the right space for it.

We toured some of the other galleries and some of the speciality shops and then drove on back to Phoenix. It was a great little escape. Neither of us thought about work and just loved cruising around. It was a fun little weekend.

I'm off for now but it's been real, it's been fun, but it ain't been real fun. HA!

Cheers,
Cory
